Men & Women are eligible to play in the social sport leagues
Any fully paid up member of the social sport league who has registered with the UWE SU or the Centre for Sport is eligible to play.
All players must be registered; this is done by signing up to UWE social sport. As a result all UWE social sport participants are insured through the Centre for Sport Endsleigh Gold insurance policy.
UWE staff may demand the inspection of Social Sport membership cards, or proof of payment to UWE social sport (Online Payment Form) of players before matches. If a player cannot produce a valid card they may not play.
Maximum of 2 UWE squad players to a team, only 1 of which can be a 1st team member & all squad members must play out of position.
Players once registered for a team for the season may not transfer to another team in the same division.
Any team found with unregistered or suspended players on the field will have the match points awarded to the opposition and 1 point deducted for each unregistered/suspended player from the team’s current league total. Teams may be liable for league suspension.
Persistent breaches of rules may result in expulsion of the team from the league & liable to UWESU Sport disciplinary.
Any disputes will be adjudicated by the social sport Co-ordinators &/or the Sports & Activities Manager & Sports Development Officer.
Less...The match official will not commence any game until he has received both team sheets. If a league team fails to appear for a scheduled fixture (after 5 minutes has passed) the opposition will be awarded the win.
When a team arrives late for their fixture, game-time may be reduced in order to keep following fixtures within agreed time slots.
Teams failing to attend 2 consecutive fixtures without prior arrangement with the social sport co-ordinator &/or Sports & Activities Manager & Sports Development Officer may be replaced.
If a league team pulls out or is removed during the season the social sport Co-ordinator &/or the Sports & Activities Manager & Sports Development Officer will attempt to replace them. The new team will take over the points total and league position of the team they are replacing.
The team captain is responsible for all aspects of their team in the league
Less...Offensive &/or abusive language towards the officials or other players will not be tolerated and will result in a suspension and possible disciplinary proceedings

If a player is sent off during a game, they must remove themselves from the pitch area; they cannot remain at the side of the pitch or playing area.
Any player suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to participate in the match.
