Sports Action Day
Would you like to get involved with an exciting event on a short term basis?
Would you like to do something that will look good on your CV?
We are looking for students to take on a variety of roles, whether it be organising activities, being a Team Leader, assisting with refreshments or helping promote the event. There are all sorts of roles that you can get involved with and ensure local schools and community groups have an enjoyable day of sport.
Previous events include
Faculty of Education Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Day – a group of 5 trainee teachers organised a day for the Better Together Project with the support of the Centre for Sport SDO and CVP team. The day included sporting activities such as cricket, street dance and games as well as a healthy eating workshop in which the children made smoothes and fruit kebabs
Student Union Clubs Sports Morning – members from the Netball, Fencing, Women’s Basketball and Kickboxing SU clubs organised a morning sports event for local school children to come and enjoy.
If you are interested in getting involved with an action day event and would like to experience volunteering please register an interest with Catherine Ogilvie – Catherine.Ogilvie@uwe.ac.uk or 0117 3286245/6
