How to get involved. . .

The New Social Sport programme has taken over the old intra-mural programme. This new exciting Social Sport programme gives students and staff the opportunity to participate in fun and enjoyable sporting competition at UWE. You can register as an individual or as a team with all your friends by completing the online application for your chosen sport(s). There is no commitment of additional training hours, just the element of competition, learning and enjoyment depending on what you are looking for.
 
The Social Sport programme starts in October, allowing plenty of time for individuals to form their own team.
 
*If you want to enter as a team with your friends you just need to apply individually and then get your team captain to email the list of names and team name to socialsport@uwe.ac.uk
 
*If applying as an individual please list your chosen positions and you will then be placed into a team with others.

Social Sport payment details

1.    All payments made for the first term - £25per person per sport through the online store

2.    All payments made for the second term - £25 per person per sport through the online store unless:

a.    You have engaged with the Social Sport Programme in the first term and bought an Active Card before Wed 1 Dec 2010. Then you will be eligible to participate in any social sport activity in the second term for free (excludes the Back to Sport programme)

3.    If an Active Card member engages with more than one activity in the first term for £25 each then they will get the same amount of free activities in the second term

E.g. AC member joined Netball League - £25 and joined Badminton Lessons - £25 in the first term. In the second term they then can choose which two activities they want to engage with for free e.g. the Netball League for free and Squash lessons for free in the second term.

4.    For the Back to Sport programme all sessions are drop in at £3.00pp paid at reception of the Centre for Sport. Receipts to be taken to instructor/coach, no receipt, unfortunately no session.

5.    For Active Card members the Back to Sport programmes are half price at £1.50 paid to reception at the Centre for Sport. Receipts to be taken to instructor/coach, unfortunately no receipt no session.
